Correct Battery for T6 Aug 08, 2007
By Wayne McAllister
"Icemanta"
I saw another reviewer who ordered the wrong battery for their Suunto watch and noticed there was some inconsistency in model numbers. For anyone looking for a replacement battery for the T6, this is the correct model. Very easy to change the battery yourself (comes with a metal tool to help) and the watch retains its waterproof state thanks to the rubber casket which is included. Other than that, it's a battery and it works! Final note - if your watch has trouble sometimes connecting to the HRM or foot pod, or sometimes misses measurements, it could be that the battery is running low. Mine was just starting to have these problems but after I changed the battery, it was flawless again.

Good Kit -- Make sure you get Duracell or Varta batteries Nov 06, 2010
By J. Carroll

Since you probably only have to change your watch battery once a year, if this kit doesn't already come with a Varta or Duracell battery, you should just go out and buy a Duracell (2032). Your best bet for this is - again - amazon.com because the retail prices for Duracell batteries vary widely. Other than that, it is all pretty straight-forward. If you are skilled at changing Suunto watch batteries, you won't ruin the hatch cover (there is no need to man-handle it, just get the slot the the right position and gently pry the cap off around the edges ... suunto has some videos on their site to help with this).
Last but not least, as someone who has purchased more than 5 (probably 10!) Suunto watches, I can say that the batteries last a good long time UNLESS you like to use the backlight, alarm, or other dynamic features. In a word, be prepared to self-service your Suunto watch if you like to use it! The investment is well-spent as these watches are built to last a lifetime if you don't mind dealing with annual battery and strap replacements. Knock wood - my Suuntos have not mechanically lost a beat in the last 12 years!

A must have item Apr 23, 2008

This item is very convenient to use. I think it should be a standard issued item with all Suunto watches. I wore out the slot on the back of the watch trying to replace the battery before I received this kit. Well worth the price.
Save your money- just buy the battery Feb 13, 2012
By Steven R. Cusack I get tired of Suunto charging 10x what something is worth. This is an example of them overcharging. Although they claim you could damage your watch if you don't use your tool, I would just use a penny to open the watch, replace it with a battery from your local drugstore, then put the same cap back on. I just don't think there is a need for all the extra crap.
