2Broke in 4-5 games  Apr 11, 2010 By C. Shah "C. S."
I play this game about 3 times a week, i would probably rate myself as intermediate level. I've been using the Penn Ultra Blue Racquetball - Can of 3 Racquetballs since quite some time and thought of trying out these Pen Pro HD balls. It seemed good at first since the balls are not that fast like the blue ones, these bounce low, so you have to hit them a bit more hard than the blue ones. But then 2 of the 3 balls I tried so far from the can, bursted in like 4-5 games. That was a low quality experience for me

5These racquetballs make me look better on the court  Jan 19, 2009 By J. Pengelly "SparkyGoHome"
Don't know if I can completely describe the difference between these and those standard blue klunkers, but a good back-hand shot with one of these purple balls is a rush. I could never go back to blue or even green, for that matter. The best I've tried.

5Love these balls  Nov 21, 2009 By Theodore Bush
I concur with the other reviewer: the difference is palpable yet difficult to describe. Quite simply, these balls bounce... tighter? Better? Your stroke will feel more precise, the balls don't hop around quite as much as with green/blue balls. I've not tried the red "fireballs" so can't compare, but don't really need the balls to move any faster.

Only negative we've encountered is when the hall outside the court is dark, you can lose this against the glass. Not an issue for my 42-year old eyes, but a 69 year old I play (don' laugh, he's damned good!) complains he loses it, at times. Want to try a few pink balls, but I've never played Wilson...maybe my next review?

3Overpriced.  Dec 27, 2011 By Vinnie Farina
I love these! I only gave "3-Stars" because you can get this exact same can in a sporting goods store, for about half the price. Other than that, great feel and play. My favorite ball ever since I tried them.

1NO QUALITY CONTROL!!  Nov 28, 2011 By Marvin Gorovitz
Perhaps it's because the Penn Balls are manufactured in China but Penn should be embarrassed to put a product such as the Purple Pro HD Racquetballs on the market. I have been playing racquetball (A level) for 25 years and was delighted when these purple balls first came out. Since then, I have watched the quality slowly, but steadily, go down to the point that out of 3 balls in a can, each one bounces and responds differently then the other two. As we all know, Penn will replace a ball that breaks with 2 new balls while the name / emblem is still visible on the broken ball. After all, it says it right on the container (right under the French verbiage). GOOD LUCK!!!!! How and where do you return the busted ball? To the dealer??? To the manufacturer (Penn)???? To China??? Who pays the shipping? Un-happily, these balls are indicative of so many Chinese products that are taking over our country....poor quality, poor quality control (Penn's fault in this case) ....and worst of all, the creation of a population that is willing to accept inferior products because the prices are cheaper(#@%$?). Penn, Wal-Mart, China = low expectations and the eventual demise of the greatest country in the world. Yes, it's only racquetball balls but..........PS, Here is a great recommendation from the club pro that really works; Place the ball (new / used) into a microwave for 1 minute just prior to playing to create your own quality control....be prepared to have some fun!
