update...3/15/2012 the dart pins are just as thick as the novice brand or the one you can get for free when you purchase a dart board... and the color is cosmo chrome not chrome or silver the dart tips are black which i guest is more professional than the others... picture displayed is not accurate but still a good dart set to purchase... but not as professional as i have said on my previous comment review...
thickness is important when buying a good set of darts cause its always gonna give you room for aiming same triples and bulls eye cherry when you hit then 1 or 2 times already on the same set...
Believe it or not i have been searching for more than a week to find a good set of darts but not willing to pay a good ton of cash. I just want A spare just for an extra and to let it share/borrow to my friend/opponents... im a 26g set. prepared but for a very cheap set like this i'm buying it. i search nodor darts dot com and google... and im really surprise on what i've discovered... Nodor brand is one of the top darts builder just like unicorn and harrows. how ever this set is just their entry level set. but if your going to look at the picture and what is included. you already win you get more on what you payed for. 2 sets of shafts & flights(vortex/?) a carrying case a sets of 18g barrels which in a shape of an intermediate or even pro quality dart set. remember soft tip darts can only go i think 20g or below. and this one has a good barrel diameter already meaning thin enough to be used on professional games and/or tournament. specially if you are an 18g dart thrower. just like the soft tip players. remember this is just a $6.93 when i just purchase it 3-12-2012. and like i said i been searching on different websites and this particular item is $16.13 on ebay rite now. so i didnt even hesitate to buy it and also i can trade this set easy to my friends with a good trading value. so still didnt loose even its not really my prepared set... but like the good guys reviews the parts and accessories might be an entry level too so i guest a medium alloy shaft set @ 1.5 or 1 3/4 is recommended for the best performance results.
by the way if your looking for a good quality brand steel tip set here are the other good and best quality brands and i'll start my favorites... BLACK AND GOLD WIDOW DARTS , NODOR, BOTTELSEN, HAMMERHEAD, ACADEMY BRAND, VIPER & WILD CAT (HIGHER END ONES)AND MOST OF THE THE 80% TO 95% TUNGSTEN DART BUILDER I ALSO SEE ONE THAT DOES 97% TUNGSTEN. THOSE DARTS ARE GOOD.... im not really a fan of piranha darts i dont know i have used them and my shots are not straight when it lands maybe because their barrels are longer than all of the brand name mentioned...

By MOguy These darts were cheap so not to much could be expected from them. That being said, I still expected them to fly straight. The plastic shafts were all crooked or shaped irregularly and subsequently the darts fly like a knuckle ball. I ordered aluminum shafts so hopefully that will correct the problem. The barrel and the rest of the dart seem to be fine.

By Timmy P Purchased for use by everyone at work. Good looking Light weight darts preferred by those who usually throw soft point darts. The barrel of the dart is thinner than other low cost darts. Recommend replacing shafts with aluminum if used by a group of people, two shafts already broken.
