5Brass darts are common and usual  Feb 15, 2012 By fender-bender
If you want a nice set of inexpensive darts, these would be a fine choice.

Yes, brass darts contain some lead in the alloy mix. I own about 20 sets of darts, some brass, some steel, and some tungston. Darts come in three price catagories, cheap "house darts" that are $2 to $15 per set. They are almost always brass.

Mid priced darts are $10 to $40 per set and have less brass, and sometimes none. Better darts are $30 to $150 per set and have high percentages of tungston.

If you are running an all organtic household, never use pesticides, and the such, then you might choose to spend more to get darts with no amount of lead in them. HOwever, if you have a typical household, and realize you will only occasionally use them, then brass may be fine.

If you play darts for any amount of time, you will end up buying better darts and leaving these on the side for "guest" use occasionally. So this becomes even less of any issue.

1Contains Lead  Dec 19, 2010 By Jack
Darts arrived in a package warning "Brass darts contain lead, a substance known to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm. Please wash hands after handling" You have got to be kidding! when are toy companies going to wake up and realize people don't want to use poisonous products. there is no need for this. buy ones with tungsten shafts.
