Need some time to get use to May 31, 2009
By PL I was debating between this one and Tach SV5W Gold. In our club we use Tach SV5W and it was good. I bought this one at first only because of its "official" title. The first day I played it, I really can't say I liked it. It feel much heavier than Tach SV5W Gold and a Molten I've tried. The leather surface feel very nice though. The second time I went to the court and just thought I would just give it another try. Amazingly, I started to like the heavy feeling. It doesn't immediately bounce off from my hand until the entire palm has tightly touched the surface of the ball. This kinda makes me feel more control. feel I am playing something substantial.
In a word, good ball and worth a try.

great setter's ball Apr 12, 2009
By Andrei I bought the MVP200 to replace my torn Molten Pro Touch ball. The MVP 200's synthetic leather has a very pleasant tactile feel and is very durable. After approximately a month of playing with it I can hardly notice any degradation of the leather. The ball still looks and feels pretty much like on a day it arrived. The feel on a touch provides excellent feedback for a very controllable setter's ball. This ball, however, requires some action when passing, serving or attacking: different from Molten it does need a "bigger" swing. Comparing to Pro Touch, which bounces of your hand and rushes for a spectacular kill, when spiking, the Mikasa's flight is observably slower. Same goes for the floater serve. This ball requires solid skills, and is aimed for advanced players. I am happy I bought it because it makes me work a little harder to improve my skills, and to become a better player.

mvp200 volleyball - tournament quality Oct 13, 2005
By Janet Kay Very soft leather - feels great. Expensive though - $60 after paying shipping and tax. Only for volleyball enthusiasts. I wouldn't recommend this for beginner or young players - only for those with the proper skills who play a lot. It needs to be kept indoors, so it would get destroyed too easily if not looked after.
