One size fits "MOST" Ogres!!!! Jul 31, 2009
By Patrick M. Trainor
"Ptrain"
This thing is so huge that SHREK would have trouble keeping it on his head!!! I am not a small man and my dome is about a 7 1/2 hat size. That being said this thing is still huge! It is so big in fact that my head slips in between the slots of the front/back and center strap. I have to wear a knit cap just to make it stay!! All that and it still does what it supposed to do. Just be wary of the size.

Use it right and it works. Feb 12, 2010
By Hurt Great product from Everlast. Haven't had any problems yet. In order to use the neck developer you must take it slow with smooth up and down neck movements. Do not jerk or cheat your movements. Here's a tip on fitting it for you:
The actual head band that goes around your head will be loose until you adjust the band that goes OVER your head. Use a light weight to try this first.
1. Sitting down, put the developer on normal with top band across the top of your head. Eyes straight ahead. 2. Hold chain and put on plate weight by inserting chain through hole in plate. 3. Holding the weight in your lap, hook chain to the other side of the developer. 4. Don't drop weight. Ease it down with one hand while holding top strap of developer with the other hand. As the weight goes down you'll feel the developer want to slip. Take your fingers on the top strap of developer and push the strap back as you lay your head down. 5. There should (may) be about an inch between the top strap and rear part of the head strap in back. As you push the top strap down you create added pressure from the developer to the back of your head as you release the weight. 6. That (the location of the top strap now on the back of your head and the weight of the plate) should hold the developer on and create a tight(er) fit. You'll feel it get tighter. 7. Now that your head is down and you are looking at the floor the top strap that went across the top of your head is now on the back of your head. Gently ease the weight up and don't jerk it. Obviously if you jerk the weight it will produce slack at the top of the movement with your eyes straight ahead and the product may loosen.
USe these steps and it WILL work. Worked for me in high school and now, twenty something years later, it still works. Remember there's a lot of tendons in your neck so you don't have to use HEAVY weight. Save that for your arms, legs, and chest. This is a neck DEVELOPER.
Just setting the record straight on a GREAT product that has gotten a bad rep.

I have a big head. Jan 04, 2008
By CONSTANT|NE I have a big head and it fits like a glove. Literally. a strap would be nice. The chain it came with is also a bit large in the S hook area. too much slack and it will disconnect. Tightened it down a tad with some pliers. An instruction pamphlet would have been a nice touch, as to what different exercises you can preform with it so it gets a 3.
Good quality, light foam on all inner parts of headband, all black,
Makes an excellent home defense weapon as well with a weight attached.

good for beginners only Dec 24, 2008
By Sesshomaru I was dissapointed with the construction of this head harness. the stitching started to rip with only a 40 pound load. the sizing was alright, only a little slack - which was easy to pad with a beanie.

Awful product. Feb 22, 2010
By J. Clapham #1 problem is that it is indeed pretty big. I have a big head and it still fit too loosely on me... but I can work with that. The MAIN problem is that I put it on for the very first time with actual weight (a 45lb plate) and it straight up ripped.
What kind of person is this designed for? Obviously a guy with a great big Shrek head but can only lift a 10lb plate with it. Yeah, makes perfect sense. Picture Mr Mackey from South Park. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK.
