A Nice Pair of Skates Jan 29, 2008
By L. Kain I haven't skated in 20 years & now I have a 6 year old that wants to go skating every week, so I bought myself these skates. I researched several sites before deciding on these. Many reviews I read warned that this skate runs large. They do run long, but they are narrow. I normally wear a 7.5 Medium shoe. I ordered a 7 skate. The length was perfect, but the width was a tighter fit than I was expecting. The best part was the added padding in the sole, the ankle area and the tongue. I've had foot surgery in the past that has left both my feet very senstive. The first time I skated with my new skates I had no problems with my feet, other than the normal stiffness of a well made leather skate. The wheels look white in the picture, but they are more of a yellowish color. They still look nice & the wheels/bearings are great, much better than what you will find on cheaper skates or even at the roller rink. The wheels came tight, but once your comfortable skating again, just loosen the wheels for faster motion. The tool is included with the skates.

boogie nights lives again Mar 20, 2008

I ordered a pair of these skates for myself to go skating with my son. I can say, that I was very pleased at the quality and performance of these skates for the price. They were a little stiff along the top seams but if you don't lace them all the way up they are quite comfortable to break in. My son and I did not get any blisters our first night wearing them(I ordered him the men's black) and trust me I am hard on skates with all the spins and jumps and turns. I would say the size might run just a little big but nothing two pair of socks will not fix. I usually wear a 9 and they were more like a 9 1/2. I am 42 and yes I still roller skate..on occasion just for the fun and exercise in it. Not to mention good bonding for me and my son. I would recommend them for any child wanting to further their skating fun. Tested on wood floor skating rink. Wheels were very responsive and didn't slip and slide. Jess

BE READY TO BUY NEW WHEELS. May 27, 2009
By J. Kruszewski This is a pretty nice pair of skates for the price and the boot is great. However, when I received my skates the wheels were so warped that I couldn't even skate on them! It felt like I was skating on cobblestones. I had to buy new wheels ($50!!! Almost the price I paid for the skates!!!) in order to be able to skate on them. Some people have said that I should have just returned the whole package, but I had already waited two whole weeks to get the darn skates in the first place, and I was tired of rolling around the rink on stinky rentals. I wouldn't recommend buying this item from Amazon...not unless you want a pair of crappy wheels in the deal.

Nice skate for the price Apr 09, 2009

The skates arrived in good time and look really nice. They are a good skate for a beginner or if you just want to roll around the rink. If you are looking for speed these are not the skate. They can be loosened and that helps some. All skates come in men size. I wear a size 6 so I bought a 5 and they were still too big. I ended up selling the skates to my niece who is learning how to skate and she loves them.
