4Inexpensive and functional.  Jun 07, 2010 By K. Clark
While this may not be as good as my Brunton Echo (despite the fact this this is 10X and my Brunton is only 7X), it's still a fine monocular, especially for the price. It seems to be quite sturdy, but I'd avoid dropping or smacking it into anything all the same. The only thing I found odd was that they decided to put the focus on the eyepiece instead of the end of the device. If you wear glasses this means you will likely smudge the lenses when focusing due to your fingers rubbing against the them. The entire monocular is covered in rubber, not counting the small piece of plastic that holds the neck strap on (which happens to come pre-attached, by the way). They also come with a relatively well made looking nylon case. Overall, for the price, these are a fine choice for those that don't want to lug around bulky binoculars yet still want to be able to see far away objects. You could do a lot worse.

5does the job  Apr 24, 2010 By Theresa M. Foley "Theresa"
Ordered this for my husband to take to Afghanistan with him. Hes a soldier, they carry a lot of stuff everywhere they go anyway, so he needed something lightwaight, small, and worth taking with him. This did the trick, it Magnifies ALMOST as good as my dads expensive hunting bi-noculars, but a fraction of the size and waight. Easy to use, easy to carry, easy to put back in your pocket if youre in a hurry

5Works Well  Dec 05, 2009 By JRB
It works as advertised. Although it's not for "night vision", the lens is big enough to work when there's poor light. I like the rubber coating. It seems very durable. Occasionally I need to read house numbers set back from the road and this beats having to carry bulky pair of binoculars, or getting out of the car, especially in winter. The nylon carrying case is is strong with a velcro flap and loop to wear on a belt.

4Good Auxiliary Scope  Aug 15, 2010 By David A
I am in charge of several tower sites for my job, plus I get asked to check on others' towers from time to time. If I can't find a tower climber quickly I have two choices...climb the tower myself (not gonna happen!) or use a scope to look at it. Problem is, carrying the larger scopes gets to be problematic and if I'm not in a work vehicle I often don't have one handy, so I needed something that would easily fit in my glove compartment or pocket to give me a quick analysis of a potential problem. By no means will it replace my larger scopes, but if it looks like trouble I'll haul out one of the larger devices. You DO need a steady hand, and focus & aiming can be a problem, but once you get used to it it's really pretty easy to use, and with 10x it brings you up pretty close. I really like the rubber coating too, makes it less slippery with wet hands, and won't be a cold piece of metal on my eye in the winter. I also like the case, keeps it clean when not in use and it will loop on your belt if you have a whole day of service. All in all, for the price it's a pretty useful tool.

2Disappointed with performance  Mar 06, 2011 By A. Spivey
Was disappointed with the fuzzy edge of field, could not obtain a "crisp" focus. Returned item for refund due to poor performance.
